Access for all

It is very good to see that public transport is slowly but surely becoming accessible also to people that can not go down stairs or use escalators, such as the handicapped and families.

The next step is to make sure that all users pay there fair share to use it in the city. Given that the communities fund some of the STIB cost, users paying their tax elsewhere but rely on STIB for their income, should pay an equal share. I see two complementary steps to achieve that:

a) ticket prices depending on residence, with non-BXL users paying a surcharge

&

b) a inner city toll for all cars not registered by BXL residents, billed per trip during the work week, and priced to encourage public transport use
